Reminding everyone to constantly be kind to one another, LG and Best Point give away 100 sets of education backpacks and school supplies to students from 10 schools in Penang

LG Electronics Malaysia, a brand globally known to enhance consumer’s day-to-day routines with premium, easy-to-use and innovative-driven products, expanded their footprint in the Northern region by launching their first ever brand shop today in Bagan Ajam, Butterworth, simultaneously consolidating their well-known “Creating a better life” theme.

Housing a variety of home entertainment and home appliance products from their award-winning OLED TVs, UHD, HD and LED TVs, InstaView refrigerator, TWINWash washing machine and DUALCOOL air conditioner, LG’s first brand shop in Bagan Ajam (and 6th in Penang) serves to bring amplified consumer retail experience. The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Kim Kyutae, LG Electronics Malaysia Managing Director.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kim Kyutae said, “Today’s brand shop opening is a reinstatement of our pledge to deliver a well-rounded and positive experience to our consumers when using LG products. [Here] at LG, we constantly seek out new methods to introduce innovative and sophisticated products that complement our consumer’s lifestyle and the way they go about their daily lives.”

LG’s principle of creating a better life originates from products such as LG’s award-winning OLED TV that gives viewers superior entertainment value within the comfort of their homes via its AI function and α9 processor, while its home appliances segment such as the incredible TWINWash washing machine allows washing two loads at one time, making laundry chores easier and saves time.

Partnering up with LG for the third time, Mr. Ng Chye Weng, Best Point Managing Director said, “Today’s consumers want more than just skimming through the pages of a catalogue; they want to experience interact with the products they are using. The brand shop LG introduces enables our consumers to do exactly that. The experience given by LG is fresh and much-needed addition to the local community of Bagan Ajam. Through our strategic partnership [with LG], we are able to further enhance our services towards our consumers. I am highly confident that LG will continue to bring in cutting edge technologies and bring more future proof products that will set a long-term brand trust amongst our valued customers.”

During the brand shop opening, LG and Best Point took the opportunity to address the growing concern in losing sight on what matters. Emphasizing to the guests that not everyone receives the same amount of opportunity, both partners gave away 100 sets of education backpacks and school supplies to students from 10 schools in the state.

“As a company grows bigger and better, it is not hard to lose sight on the simpler things in life such as being kind to one another,” said Kim. “Grasping the firm belief that we [LG and Best Point] hold responsibility to give back to the community where we conduct business, we decided to take this chance to reach out to the younger generation, to give them a small token, in hopes it will act as a motivation for them to study diligently.”

As part of the grand opening in Bagan Ajam, LG has prepared a line-up of attractive promotions and exciting prizes for lucky customers from 8th – 10th March 2019. First 100 walk-in customers will receive an exclusive door-gift from LG, while the first 50 customers with a minimum spend of RM 500 in a single receipt are entitled for a RM 100 gift voucher and other attractive prizes.
