LG 84-inch Ultra-definition TV hits Korea

Making its first appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011, the stunning LG 84-inch ‘ultra-definition’ TV is now available for sale in Korea. Though it has yet to hit our shores, the TV is already making waves in the land of K-Pop.

For those who are well-versed with techie-speak, you’ll be excited to know this: the TV comes with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (today’s full HD TVs typically have 1920 x 1080 resolution) and is able to maintain 1080 picture quality for 3D movies, even with LG’s Film Pattern Retarder (FPR) Cinema 3D passive glasses technology.

To put it simply, this revolutionary TV offers unprecedented picture quality and clarity.

Apart from this, the TV is equipped with a 2.2 channel 3D sound system and the standard range of SMART TV features.

Unfortunately for TV enthusiasts though, sale of the TV for the price of 25 million won (USD 21,925) is limited to within Korea. And only 84 units are available for pre-order during the first month.

So think you’d like get your hands on this magnificent piece? Well, who knows? This baby might just come our way end of this year. Keep your fingers crossed!
