LG Electronics (M) Sdn. Bhd. had recently unveiled its latest Health+ range of air conditioners, the LG Health+ Inverter and the LG Health+ Fresh, which have been designed to let users breathe easier in every way.

Following the successful launch of the LG Health+ Deluxe last year, which was certified by the British Allergy Foundation, the global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics continues to bring consumers innovative products that transform their home into a safe haven with its emphasis on 3 fundamental performance aspects under the 3S promise – Savings, Silent and Safe.

LG Health+ Airconditioner

With its stylish and contemporary curvy design that promises to complement any home, the new LG Health+ Inverter also delivers savings up to 60% of energy consumption as it operates at only 670 watts – the lowest power input in Malaysia - making it an ideal choice for extended use in any home, while being environmentally friendly. It also boasts the industry’s highest Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) at 14.5.

Consumers will find peace with the new LG Health+ Inverter and Health+ Fresh air conditioners as they are the quietest air conditioners available in the market at only 19 decibels, while others operate at a noisier 24 decibels. Is Social Media a Fad?

Is social media a fad? Or is it the biggest shift since the Industrial Revolution? This video details out social media facts and figures that are hard to ignore. This video is produced by the author of Socialnomics.

Now I am sharing the video using YouTube, which is the 2nd largest search engine in the world.

Social Media Revolution

The video show that 96% of us have joined a social network. Initially it was Friendster, MySpace, then only Facebook came in. Talking about Facebook there are 100 millions users registered in 9 months! How fantastic it is?

Company start using social media like LinkedIn as a tool to find employees. More people start to update what they think anytime, anywhere on the twitter by just using mobile phone. Imagine what would happen when customer had bad experience?

"Word of mouth" eventually wil makes up "world of mouth". People will talk about their experience about specific product and services and this will affect the brand in certain way. Not to mention their opinions is getting more influential as time passed.

So, do follow LG on Twitter as your comments does matter =)

The Evolution of Home Appliances in 2010

Designers seek inspiration in the most unusual places. The shape of a leaf or the color of a priceless vase might be enough to trigger the next season’s fashions.

Similarly, LG’s product designers are constantly in search of inspiration and closely follow trends in consumers’ habits and broader social issues that may be addressed through technology.

An example of this is how the home appliance industry has increasingly focused on the environment over the past two decades. Through designing more efficient technologies, the home appliance industry is working to address environmental issues. This “green” or “eco-friendly” approach has seen products reduce power consumption and eschew the use of environmentally harmful materials, including refrigerants.

As recent environmental disasters and H1N1 and Avian Influenza pandemics have reminded us, our lives are not separate from environmental issues.

Businesses have recognized this concern and are bringing products to market to take advantage of an increasing awareness of the need for environmental harmony. As a result, manufacturers like LG are focusing on eco-friendly designs that provide modern comforts with a reduced environmental footprint.

Customer Insight-Oriented Design
Technology is supposed to either simplify tasks or enrich our lives – or both. LG is focusing on simple design enhancements to maximize user convenience. By studying the unique needs of our customers in each market, we’re developing simple, effective solutions that enrich their lives.

By way of an example, kimchi is a staple of the Korean diet and LG turned its attention to developing a refrigerator that would store kimchi in a way to make it most accessible to Korean consumers. A special kimchi refrigerator provides easy access and transparent kimchi cases that allow consumers to easily find what is inside without opening the lid represent a simple, effective customer in-sight-oriented design.

Harmonious Design
There was a time when home appliances were just large unsightly boxes with a purely utilitarian bent, but thankfully things have changed. Plasma and LCD TVs occupy less space while providing a superior image to older CRT designs, and LG’s current range of home appliances sport elegant designs that are designed to compliment home décor. LG air conditioners, kitchen appliances and home entertainment products focus on designs that harmonize with any environment to make the home more comfortable while also maximizing convenience.

New Minimalism
LG expects minimalism to become more prevalent as designers focus on what LG is calling “simple, natural style”.

Simple, elegant colors and styles will prevail through 2010, and the home appliance industry will continue to employ white and neutral tones including grey, green and blue.

Patterned finishes will remain popular through 2010 with the industry generally incorporating a number of geometrical patterns in their designs.
