As you know already, LG UltraWide monitors were an immediate sensation since their first introduction in 2012! It has been appraised for providing customers true innovation and opening up the era of real UltraWide experiences.

Having led the industry with a stellar #1 sales performance for three consecutive quarters in 2013, and with an accolade of awards and recognitions, LG IPS 21:9 UltraWide monitor has become the holy grail of all monitors. But LG didn’t rest on its laurels. At CES 2014, we released the next LG UltraWide line-up with enhanced user-convenience features to better cater your needs and wishes.

In this post, we’ll present to you the next faces of the LG UltraWide monitor series and how they will boost your lifestyle and efficiency!

Beyond Excellence: For All Professionals

LG’s 34” UltraWide’s (34UM95) leading technology gives an Ultra boost for tech-savvy specialists. Here’s the load-down on the benefits of each specific features of the 34” UltraWide and what amazing features you can expect to improve your everyday work experience!

Professional 2D/3D graphic designers have always had trouble with working 2D/3D graphic conversions as it took two conventional 16:9 Full HD monitors in a dual arrangement. With the new 34UM95 monitor which boasts the world’s first 34-inch 21:9 UltraWide QHD display with 12% wider view, graphic designers can now manage the heavy workload and reduce inefficient time taste.

Moreover, UltraWide QHD resolution’s different picture quality will increase work efficiency since its higher resolution enables the execution of more detailed work.

For professional photographers, picture quality is key to staying on top of this fierce industry. The 34UM95 UltraWide screen’s wide color expression (sRGB over 99%) and hardware calibration ready are the perfect combination for superior graphic work. Moreover, its 10-bit color display offers 64 times more of the color spectrum than an 8-bit color display, re-creating colors softly and naturally without color banding.

LG’s 34-inch monitor features an IPS display that can render incredible details thanks to its 3440 x1440 resolution.

Also, as many in the creative industry use Mac devices as their primary and or secondary devices, it’s worth noting that LG UltraWide (34UM95) is installed with Thunderbolt 2. Thunderbolt 2’s daisy chain feature allows image files in heavy data storage to be accessed directly on the monitor without connecting it to the PC. By daisy chaining various other digital devices, the LG UltraWide provides super-fast connectivity and is perfect for use as a central hub.

Finally, a wider and grander 34-inch screen and extremely fast transfer speed: one gigabyte per second means you’ll never miss an extra-detail in your work and never miss a deadline again!

For the Multi-tasker: Turning Tech into a Lifestyle

Overall, LG’s 21:9 UltraWide offers a lot more benefits compared to a conventional 16:9 monitor. It is easy to use for all types of users. Particularly, we’d like to suggest LG 21:9 UltraWide Full HD monitor (25UM65) for multi-performers who value performance and great minimalist design which enhances use of space.

First off, UltraWide Full HD’s 21:9 screen differs itself from existing conventional monitors, enabling users to see and enjoy extra columns and rows in the UltraWide screen. When you play a game or watch a movie, you can definitely enjoy the wider view that a 16:9 monitor misses out on. In addition to the fuller view, you can your immersive experience enhanced with the 3Wx2 stereo speaker’s luxurious balance of performance and sound quality.

The benefits of UltraWide Full HD’s 25-inch monitor are equally present for work tasks. When you’re working on word documents in particular, you can get the most of it in one go. Imagine that you can see three different document pages in front of your eyes at the same time on the wide screen. LG UltraWide’s 21:9 aspect ratio allows you to create a completely new work environment: just imagine your sets of documents, a spreadsheet and YouTube all available in one screen!

New Features: Advanced Viewing Pleasure and Usability

The new LG UltraWide monitor lineup has had an ultra-boost to its features! The all new monitors including the 34” UM95, 34” UM65, 29” UM65, 25” UM65 and 29” UB65 models will meet your varying and diverse work and lifestyle needs. Pick the one that fits your needs perfectly!

The new LG UltraWide monitor lineup is equipped with improved user-convenience features: viewing pleasure-enhancing feature including Reader Mode and Flicker Safe in addition to new outstanding usability such as a joystick with intuitive control.

A lot of us stare at a computer monitor throughout the day. Since our 21:9 monitors are also optimized for gaming and entertainment purposes, the hours spent in front of your monitor is bound to increase. To address this, LG has included the new Reader mode feature which can be immediately activated at your choice.

Reader Mode’s color temperature set below 5,000K reduces 84% of Blue Light, giving you a nice white light. LG’s latest eye comfort display features including Reader Mode and Flicker Safe will significantly reduce eye strain so you can read, play games and watch movies for longer and in a more comfortable environment!

On top of that, LG UltraWide monitor’s TUV certified Flicker Safe feature, delivers yet another superb reading experience. Although our eyes don’t see the actual flicker on the monitor, we are actually affected by it without realizing it.

Here’s another interesting new feature that you may want to see: a joystick with intuitive and convenient control. Unlike conventional joysticks, the new LG UltraWide joystick combines enhanced accuracy and intuitive user control.

Let’s get into the details to see what’s been upgraded and enhanced on our new LG 21:9 UltraWide monitor lineup in 2014!

The Ultra Choice for All

Aside from 34UM95 and 25UM65, other UltraWide monitor lineups will also provide you with a plethora of new features and options to meet the needs of our wide customer range. LG & Harman/Kardon Join Forces to Deliver a More Immersive Auditory Experience

LG Electronics (LG) announced a partnership with Harman/Kardon® to develop an advanced audio technology which will be employed in two of its OLED TV models and five of its ULTRA HD TVs. A perfect complement to the LG’s acclaimed picture quality, the ULTRA Surround system is expected to deliver a level of viewer immersion previously only found in cinemas.

Harman/Kardon®, one of the most respected names in the audio industry, worked together with LG engineers to develop a speaker system that could deliver even, distortion-free sound with deep bass and a wide band width. ULTRA Surround reproduces audio with amazing fidelity, placing viewers at the center of a wide and evenly dispersed soundstage.

Designed to deliver truly cinematic experiences, the ULTRA Surround system has superb dynamic range and balances sound with exceptional accuracy. It also boasts an extra wide play able band width and powerful output. The system is engineered to deliver high quality, detailed sound that literally surrounds the listener, creating a significantly more immersive experience than the average flat screen TV.

ULTRA Surround technology adds a three-dimensional quality to audio that is nothing short of spell binding. The advanced technology utilizes a state-of-the-art algorithm to produce convincingly real soundscapes. The speakers cleverly distribute sound in multiple directions, balancing foreground and background noises to match the on screen action while keeping dialog perfectly clear. In a scene featuring heavy rain, for example, viewers will feel as though drops are falling all around them, yet still be able to hearon-screen dialog clearly.

ULTRA Surround is a compelling addition to LG’s cutting-edge, large screen flagship TVs.The speakers offer multi directional sound distribution and top-notch features that go well beyond merely supporting the theater-like viewing experience — they enhance and sharpen it. The results are captivating, smile-inducing and incredibly exhilarating. The LG’s new ULTRA HD TV and OLED TV models with ULTRA Surround area new standard for consumers who want the ultimate TV experience.

“Nearly every epic entertainment experience combines a powerful auditory element with spectacular visuals,” said In-kyu Lee, senior vice president and head of the TV Division at LG Electronics’ Home Entertainment Company. “To help excite and move viewers, Harman/Kardon and LG developed an exceptionally powerful audio system together that is able to match our superior picture quality and fit within the sleek, slender frames of our premium TVs.

“We are delighted to have participated in this ground breaking project and to help revolutionize the sound quality of LG’s phenomenal next generation TVs,” said Michael Mauser, president of HARMAN’s Lifestyle Division. “Whether watching epic movies, fast-paced sports programming or any other video entertainment, today’s consumers deserve an immersive audio experience that matches the stunning visuals. Together, LG and Harman/Kardon will deliver that experience.”

EPA Recognizes LG for Efforts to Protect the Environment Through Superior Energy Efficiency and Climate Communications

LG Electronics, a global technology leader in consumer electronics and home appliances, has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with a 2014 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year-Sustained Excellence Award, the highest distinction bestowed upon ENERGY STAR partners. LG also is being honored with the inaugural 2014 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year-Climate Communications Award.

According to the EPA, LG is being recognized as ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for its continued leadership in protecting the environment by manufacturing and promoting products with superior energy efficiency as well as educating consumers on the important, positive effects that energy-efficient behaviors can have on the environment.

For example, in the past year American consumers purchased more than 1.6 million LG products awarded the “ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2013” distinction, which helps consumers easily identify the most efficient products among those that have earned the ENERGY STAR label. LG increased the number of Most Efficient models available by 55 percent in 2013 from 2012 and increased its percentage of total sales dollars that were ENERGY STAR qualified by more than 13 percent from 2012.

LG also expanded its programs designed to change consumer behaviors. In 2013, the company generated more than 2 billion consumer impressions by stepping up its nationwide public education and community out reach campaign. Key to this effort was LG’s industry-leading support of “Team ENERGY STAR,” a multi-year initiative from EPA’s ENERGY STAR program that involves kids in helping their families save energy and money at home, while teaching them how energy efficiency is good for the environment. The company worked with EPA and PTO Today to award a total of 50 prizes (primarily LG ENERGY STAR certified products) to families who participated in the campaign.

“As a long-time ENERGY STAR partner, LG is extremely proud to be recognized by the EPA for our ongoing leadership and long-term commitment to energy efficiency through both the ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence and Climate Communications awards,” said William Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics USA. “LG works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help fight climate change by bringing energy-efficient products to the market as quickly as possible and by teaching consumers simple actions they can take to protect the environment.”

Across the United States, top companies and organizations are leading the way toward a more energy-efficient future through their participation in ENERGY STAR. Through 2013, with help from ENERGY STAR, American families and businesses have saved USD 297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions.

“LG has earned EPA’s highest ENERGY STAR award — the 2014 Partner of the Year- Sustained Excellence Award — because of its unwavering commitment to helping consumers become increasingly more energy efficient,” said EPA Deputy Administrator Bob Perciasepe. “By using innovative marketing and communications, LG is helping to raise the public’s awareness of climate change. An informed public can make smarter choices about the purchases they make and the impact that they have on the environment and our changing climate.”

The 2014 Partner of the Year-Sustained Excellence Awards are given to organizations to recognize their contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through superior energy efficiency. These winners have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by setting and achieving aggressive goals and by employing innovative energy efficiency approaches. These awards recognize ongoing leadership across the ENERGY STAR program, including energy-efficient products, services, new homes, and buildings in the commercial, industrial, and public sectors.

LG and other 2014 award winners are selected from the 16,000 organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program. In addition to its Sustained Excellence recognition in 2014, LG is one of only 10 ENERGY STAR Partners to receive the Climate Communications Award, a new award for 2014 that honors outstanding efforts to raise its customers’ awareness about climate change.

LG Electronics’ accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on April 29.

Did you know that LG Electronics is a sponsor for every, single sporting event and sponsors a team in each sport, all around the world?

Today, we introduce LG’s latest sponsorship with German Bundesliga Bayer 04 Leverkusen!

Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Bayer 04 Leverkusen is a club with a long history, established in 1904 in the town of Leverkusen.

Also known as Bayer Leverkusen, the name came to fruition by combining the year in which the German enterprise Bayer was founded, in 1904, along with the company name and hometown of Leverkusen.

No wins in the Bundesliga as of yet, but a 1988 UEFA Championship is surely an accolade worth noting. And with a recent charge towards becoming the frontrunner for the Bundesliga champion, Bayer 04 Leverkusen is on the radar, with a bright future ahead of them.

LG Electronics Becomes the Main Sponsor

At the end of August 2013, LG Electronics signed a deal to become the main sponsor for German Bundesliga Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

The heads of both parties exchanged gifts at an official press conference. Michael Schade, the newly appointed Managing Director of Bayer Leverkusen, gifted a shirt signed by all club members, while LG’s Executive Vice President, Ki Wan Kim, gifted a brand new LG G2.

At the inaugural sponsorship announcement, LG’s Mr. Ki Wan Kim is seen with former Bayer Leverkusen’s Managing Director along with one of the players.

At the time, the club’s former Managing Director, Wolfgang Holzhäuser, was set to leave by the 30th of September with newly appointed Michael Schadeset to take the reigns on the 1st of October.

This transition in leadership allowed LG Electronics to meet with both heads of the club.

With many players to choose from within the club, who is this player that was chosen as the face of this sponsorship deal?

Well, he is Heung-Min Son, freshly recruited into Leverkusen this season and is loved by local fans as well as fans from his motherland, South Korea. And with LG Electronics, the main sponsor, being a Korean company, LG had appointed Heung-Min Son as the new Brand Ambassador.

With the transfer to Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Heung-Min Son continues to demonstrate sublime skills. Not long ago, Son had recorded a hat-trick with his former club, Hamburger SV. What does he have in store for this season with his new club?

The logo of smartphone brand LG G2, not the LG Electronics logo itself, is proudly worn on the chest of each Bayer Leverkusen player. This was an effort to showcase to the Bundesliga fans that the LG G2 is capable of marching amongst the giants. Although temporary, it was a sign of validation for being the best, by being able to march with the likes of a great team.

And just like that, LG has become Bayer 04 Leverkusen‘s main sponsor for the 2013 season for a duration of three years.

From player shirts to stadium marketing, LG’s efforts are gaining great exposure.

With the LG logo stamped on their chests, Bayer Leverkusen players have more of a reason to feel closer to the LG G2 they play with in this photo shoot.

Best wishes for the rest of the season and many more seasons to come!

A Glimpse from LG into Upcoming Trends in 2014

From technology to fashion to entertainment, the beginning of any new year also brings with it a terrific opportunity to catch a glimpse at the latest and most exciting upcoming trends. At CES this year, where the newest technologies are showcased, we presented our latest innovations and product line-ups across various markets for 2014.Whether it’s LG’s mind blowing technology bringing TV images to life or a completely new way of approaching TV user interface, we have once again edged our name in TV industry history for our daring creativity and innovation for the betterment of your enjoyment!

Another mega-trend which LG has also pioneered and presented as a key technology this year is the new market of wearable technology.

In this post, we take a closer look at these trends.

TV Market Trend # 1 – The Chase for Compelling Picture Quality

Think about when you buy a new TV set. What’s the first factor you consider? It’s the picture quality, right? With richer and more diverse content from movies to games to interactive titles being produced in rapid succession, the demand for more compelling and lifelike TV picture quality to match has become that much the fiercer.

To meet demand and set the bar for what the next generation of TV picture quality will look like, LG raised the bar once more in TV picture quality by unveiling the newest ULTRA HD TV and OLED TV lineup at CES 2014. Needless to say, media as well as industry experts were simply blown away by our cutting-edge products.

For example, as CNET so eloquently phrased, LG has a “track record of being first to market with new technologies” and we sure did deliver once more! PC Mag, one of the most trusted consumer media outlets commented that, “The move to Ultra HD video is in full swing” and LG was right at the front, leading the industry.

LG was the first to successfully commercialize ULTRA HD TV technology, featuring 4X the resolution of Full HD, with an 84-inch ULTRA HD TV model introduced in August 2012. At CES 2013 in January, LG also added 55-inch and 65-inch models to the mix for the world’s first lineup of ULTRA HD TVs. In 2014, LG widened the horizon once more by leading the ULTRA HD TV market with a full lineup of models ranging in size from the world’s first 105-inch CURVED ULTRA HD TV (105UC9) to the more practical and affordable line. Needless to say, the comprehensive lineup of premium ULTRA HD TVs all deliver unmatched picture quality.

To add context to our advanced technology, LG has formed strategic alliances with domestic and international broadcast TV and cable companies to co-develop 4K content so that a wider audience can enjoy the incredible immersive qualities of 4K entertainment.

On the OLED TV frontier, LG achieved a major grand slam, having introduced its share of world firsts in the OLED TV space— flat, curved and now the world’s first 77 inch 4K Flexible OLED TV. What separates LG’s Flexible OLED TV from every other TV set in the world is that the display curvature can be changed using the TV remote to suit the viewer’s preference. The introduction of the Flexible OLED TV was showered with attention and praise for driving the evolution of television into the next generation. Oh, and by the way, as a standout even among LG’s latest products, the 77-inch model received the highly coveted Best of Innovations at the 2014 CES Innovations Awards.

As Engadget wrote in their review of their selected ‘best of CES 2014’ products, “a future filled with flexible living-room sets is certainly enticing.”

In addition, the expanded range of superbly crafted OLED TVs like the elegant GALLERY OLED TV and the CURVED OLED TV with its friendly environmental footprint, emphasize LG’s leadership in the next generation TV market.

TV Market Trend # 2 – Smarter UI with webOS

As Smart TV technology comes of age, the ways in which users enjoy Smart TVs is rapidly diversifying. Leading media has already pointed out a few areas that they see as crucial to the future of smart – and LG is strategically leading the way.

Engadget wrote, “LG’s ported webOS to the big screen, and what a good idea that was.” The beauty of webOS is that it provides so much freedom, and is so simple to use.

It uses motion sensors in the remote to allow you to control an onscreen cursor by moving and pointing, and adds in a scroll wheel. The webOS platform is expected to greatly simplify the smart TV experience with the help of the Magic Remote.

LG’s webOS platform will introduce consumers to the smoothest, most convenient smart TV user experience yet. Making TV simple again, the exciting new platform represents the development and design expertise of LG’s innovative Smart TV division. webOS-based LG Smart TVs deliver a greater degree of freedom than previous TVs. For example, users can easily search and enjoy YouTube content or conduct an internet search while watching broadcast TV —all with just one or two clicks of the Magic Remote. In addition, the initial setup process is fun and easy to follow, without the normally cumbersome and complicated task of activating the TV.

To see how webOS makes TV simple once more, check out this video:

The operating system will be implemented in more than 70 percent of LG Smart TVs, starting in the first half of 2014. For those who want extra guidance will have access to BeanBird, an animated character that will help first timers get connected and walk the user through the setup process. Honestly though, this platform is so intuitive and uncomplicated that even the most tech-illiterate consumers will be able to enjoy a smooth and seamless operating system.

Wearable Technology Trend – Wearable Tech

Wearables were truly one of this year’s CES buzzwords. Among the wearables that were unveiled at CES 2014, LG’s werable technology ecosystem consisting of the LG Lifeband Touch and LG Heart Rate Earphones received particular attention. As a trend setter, LG combined core fitness tech with comfortable designs and compatibility with other devices.

LG Lifeband Touch and LG Heart Rate Earphones are ideal for monitoring personal wellness and achieving fitness goals. For those who find other company models to be clunky and unappealing, LG’s wearable fitness products look like bracelet and earphone accessories that pair with your everyday look.

Simply by wearing LG’s wearable technologies, you will be able to make the world your workout!

Huffington Post marked this industry as one to keep a close eye on and judging by the popularity of the gadgets already on the market, look for this category to explode even further as 2014 rolls on.

An Exciting 2014 Ahead!

So there you have it, three major trends to watch. It will be fascinating to see how these trends are reflected in real products and services released during the upcoming year and beyond. But for those who want a taste now, LG already has many great new products currently available and ready for you to explore!

What is the future that you have dreamed of?

When thinking of the future, don’t we all envision the scenes taken from a Sci-Fi film? In particular, we picture a future where robots and gadgets perform duties based on our commands and even going so far as to know what we want before we do.

These scenes that we have all become familiar with, give us a glimpse into what we all really want, to live in a world of comfort and rely on these devices for companionship.

Well, did you know that these very technologies, those “futuristic” devices, do in fact exist today. Recently, at CES 2014, LG had introduced a technology that showcased the ability to have a casual conversation with home appliances, much like having a conversation with your friends and family.

Further, these conversations can become a means to control and monitor the very smart devices you are speaking to. Now, the future we have dreamed of has become a reality, and we would like to share LG Electronics’ smart technologies through the following stories.

The Story of a Widowed Wife. The Story of a Single, Young Professional.

We can see the sorrow that fills this woman, who is alone because she has lost her husband to unfortunate circumstances.

She is not used to going to bed alone and feels the emptiness even more when she eats alone, a time she usually spent with her beloved husband. And she feels the dread and loneliness from the fact that her husband is no longer by her side, to take care of her and love her.

So what about a young professional living by himself. How would life be if there were someone there for him, at all times?

This young man is exhausted from a long, busy day at the office. He is drained to the point of even denying a date from the woman he is deeply in love with. And to think about doing the laundry and cleaning his house adds further to his frustrations and the agonizing exhaustion from the day.

For the lonely woman who has lost her husband and for the busy man in dire need of a break, a smart technology has arrived and is here to save the day!

The Future Becomes Reality – Widowed Wife

As she wakes up in the morning, LG Homechat alerts her of today’s weather. Homechat even allows for her to communicate directly with her home appliances through a simple messenger app.

LG LINK is the Homechat-enabled, smart LG devices envisioned for the consumers of tomorrow. These everyday devices have become the Internet of Things, connecting to the internet to provide information based on users’ needs.

Such smart devices help the Widowed Wife avoid catching a cold by adjusting the temperature in the house based on the weather.

The refrigerator will even inform her of how many eggs remain. Through Homechat, the Widowed Wife will never miss a thing and stay informed about the status of her home.

It doesn’t stop there. Those everyday things that her husband used to take care of are now taken care of by LG LINK. If we can help her fill the void of her husband and help console her even the slightest bit, then we consider a job well done.

The Future Becomes Reality – The Single, Young Professional

He works a busy schedule, working late into the night. His body and mind is tired and at the very least, he should be given a break at the comfort of his own home.

But fear not, he has a friend at home who can help him achieve this. With a simple text message, like chatting with a buddy at work, he asks: Any beer in the fridge?

His trusted companion, Homechat, simply replies back saying that the fridge has three beers.

To come home to a bunch of chores after a long day at the office is a nightmare. With a simple message to Homechat, household chores can be done on his behalf. Now, he can spend more time resting instead of doing chores.

As he enters his home, he can have time to take a look around himself.

Through the videos below, you can see how LG Electronics helps people with its smart devices, everyone from the lonely widow to the busy working professional.

Through the smart technology of LG LINK, the lives of these people have become much more comfortable.

In 2014, eight Homechat-enabled products will be introduced in South Korea and the United States, providing people with their own personal assistant to communicate with their home appliances.

Users can communicate with their home appliances through LINE, a global messenger application with over 300 million users worldwide. Through LINE and Homechat, the home becomes a better place with simple, everyday conversations taking place to fulfill household needs.

Homechat is a technology that actively carries out the requests on behalf of the users. Homechat is just the start of the future technologies that we have all been dreaming about.

And soon enough, our devices will get smarter and learn our preferences to make suggestions or alert us in advance, before we even realize what we need.

Showcasing LG’s Superb Picture Quality TVs, High Efficiency Appliance in Italy

Under its new brand theme, It’s All Possible, LG Electronics (LG) showcased its most comprehensive product lineup for European consumers at the 2014 LG Innovative Festival (InnoFest) roadshow, held in Venice, Italy this week. With a variety of differentiated solutions featuring premium technologies and innovative designs, LG is strengthening its position in the region and expanding its relationships with local partners and businesses.

Following the inaugural LG InnoFest 2014 show in Istanbul last month, LG’s European roadshow was attended by approximately 300 of LG’s business partners and other stakeholders from all across the region. The third and final leg of the InnoFest roadshow will take place in Asia in April.

“InnoFest is our chance to showcase our diverse consumer electronics and appliance offerings for European consumers against the backdrop of an economy that’s showing signs of turning the corner,” said Brian Na, vice president and Europe region head at LG Electronics. “Success in Europe is a prerequisite for being a global company in today’s business world. We want to thank all the people who attended LG InnoFest 2014 and made it the success that it was.”

LG demonstrated its commitment to delivering superior picture quality to European customers, announcing its intention to expand its range of ULTRA HD and OLED TVs across Europe. As the first manufacturer to produce an 84-inch 4K ULTRA HD TV in 2012 and the largest 4K ULTRA HD CURVED OLED TV in 2014, LG outlined its plan to roll out seven series of ULTRA HD TVs in sizes ranging from 49 to 105 inches for the European market this year, its largest and most diverse TV lineup to date. To no one’s surprise, LG’s stunning 77- and 55-inch curved OLED TVs were the stars of the show. To strengthen its position in the European TV market, LG plans to expand its regional R&D capability and to secure manufacturing capability of ULTRA HD and OLED sets in Poland.

Reinventing the smart TV experience to be simpler and more intuitive than ever before, LG introduced its webOS platform in Europe for the first time at InnoFest. Its ease-of-use makes content searching and viewing, connecting with other devices and even the initial setup process incredibly smooth. Expected to be a game changer in the smart TV market, webOS will make its debut in more than 40 TV models including LG’s ULTRA HD, OLED and CINEMA 3D Smart TVs this year. Guests at LG InnoFest had the chance to experience LG Smart TVs for themselves to see just how innovative and easy-to-use a smart TV could be.

In addition to its advanced range of home entertainment products, LG also exhibited its latest energy conserving appliances designed for European consumers. Highlighting the collection was LG’s new front-loading washing machines, launching in Europe in the first half of the year, that are 40 percent more energy efficient than A+++ models. With TurboWash™ and TrueSteam™ technology, the washing machine cuts wash time to only 59 minutes1 and reduces energy consumption by up to 15 percent 2 and water consumption by up to 40 percent3 without sacrificing cleanliness and without chemical-based fabric softeners.

LG also showcased its newest energy efficient refrigerators, including its bottom-freezer models with Total No Frost that are 10 percent more efficient than A+++ energy rating. And thanks to LG’s proprietary Inverter Linear Compressor, customers will benefit in energy savings, quieter operation and longer life.

Other products featured in LG InnoFest 2014 included LG’s ARTCOOL Stylist Inverter V with subtle LED lighting and new 3-way Soft Airflow feature to distribute air evenly for a comfortable environment and the ARTCOOL Slim Inverter V offering a combination of energy efficiency, durability and health-centric features. Among LG’s superb collection of home cleaning solutions included the HOM-BOT SQUARE and the Cordless 2-in-1 Vacuum Cleaner. What’s more, LG’s revolutionary curved smartphone, G Flex, and wearable fitness device, Lifeband Touch, also attracted much attention at LG InnoFest.

LG is a leading consumer electronics brand, there’s no doubt about it. And for those who wish to get a glimpse into the mind of such a company, there is one great opportunity for that.

CES 2014 (The International Consumer Electronics Show) taking place in January 2014, is where IT enthusiasts can gather to be in awe of upcoming technologies. CES 2014 is the largest electronic product exposition in the world and held in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

It is at this very exposition that LG exhibited its products through its lavish show booth. The LG Press Conference took place at the booth, kicking off with an interview with LG’s GSMO (Global Sales & Marketing Officer) giving us a look into what makes LG tick.

LG’s newly appointed GSMO is Wayne Park, former CEO of LG’s US operations. He has his sights set on bringing LG to the world and to your home. Of these efforts, let’s have a look at the points of LG he focuses on the most.

“We Embrace Change” Transformation through Innovation

LG sees great opportunity in the face of ever-changing market demands and improvements in technology.

“We embrace change.”

But of course, there is the graveyard of companies that could not adapt to such rapid changes. If the ideology of “We embrace change” had been embedded into the framework of these bygone companies, it only makes sense that they would still be here today. Through the turmoil of such a rapidly changing marketplace, LG stood its ground and continuously developed products that satisfied the needs of consumers.

“With LG, It’s All Possible” A World Without Boundaries

LG lives by the slogan, “With LG, It’s All Possible.”

If you have seen the LG Brand Anthem Video, then you must feel an even stronger affection to LG’s determination to showcase the new possibilities that can arise from LG products made for who else, but you! And the idea of “With LG, It’s All Possible” becomes more clear his words.

For those who have not yet seen the LG brand anthem – ‘With LG, it’s all possible’, take a few moments to become immersed in a world with LG.

“Smart and Simple” Understanding Your Needs

To end on a high note, we close with the idea of “Smart and Simple.” Innovation has helped us push further and without this pursuit of constant improvement, we would be left behind in the dust. If the pursuit of innovation is our means to stay “Smart” then “Simple” is the very centerpiece that helps stay innovative.

Ideas such as Web OS, G-flex and Homechat are a few ways we thought of to help minimize the stress that arises from complexity and we plan to keep them coming!
